So you may wonder why we want you to be rich? Well as previously mentioned we want your life to become easy which it will once you have gone through the learning curve of becoming a millionaire. So what's the benefit to a rich person in helping someone else become rich? Well, it's got a lot to do with how we learn and what we know or don't know....
Think of someone you know who's a "know-it-all". Is he rich? Is he making money hand over fist? No? Why not, if he knows it all?
The answer lies in this Buddhist story:
A very learned professor of religion went to visit an old monk to talk about meditation. The professor, all excited, walked right into the monk's room and began to talk about his ideas and theories. The monk calmly listened to him and offered the professor a cup of tea. As the professor talked, the monk poured tea in a cup to the brim - and kept pouring.
Tea spilled all over the table, the floor, and the professor. He jumped up, brushing off his wet lap, and said, "Why are you pouring tea? Can't you see my cup is already full?"
The monk looked at him calmly and said, "Didn't you come here to learn? Why are you talking? You need to empty your cup."
No matter how much you know (or think you know), you have to empty the cup of your mind whenever you get an opportunity to learn. If you don't, there will be no room for new learning to come in. You never know as much as you think you do.
Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad and Cashflow Quadrant: Rich Dad's Guide to Financial Freedom, knows that you have to keep learning throughout your life to be a success. Donald Trump knows it, too. Do you think Donald Trump knows everything about how to make money? It might seem like it, but he doesn't and he'd be the first to admit it. These wealthy men and others are always taking notes and learning from the business school of life.
Wealth File #17
Rich People Constantly Learn and Grow
Poor People Think They Already Know
You can be right. Or you can be rich. You just can't be both! If you aren't learning all the time and always open to learning new things... you'll get left behind.
The best teachers are those who have been where you are trying to go. Want to know a secret? Wealthy people usually enjoy helping out those people who are walking the same path as them. It's really not difficult to find a mentor who can help you avoid common mistakes and teach you a few important lessons.
And here's another secret: helping other people who are learning all the time is a great way to learn more yourself. Even if they're learning things you already know, just being with them and helping them learn will give you insight, inspiration and energy to learn more yourself.
We're learning more every day. We want you to learn more every day, too, and be our partners in success - and that's why we want you to be rich. Now, let's get started!
