A millionaire is someone who has a million dollars, right?

Well, it's a little more complicated than that. There are a lot of ways to be a millionaire.

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, a millionaire is a person whose wealth is estimated at a million or more (as of dollars or pounds). That is to say, if you live in America and you have a million dollars, you're a millionaire. If you live in United Kingdom and you have a million pounds, you're a millionaire. If you live in Japan and you have a million yen, you're a millionaire.

Being a millionaire can take more forms than just cash, though. If you only have ten bucks in your pocket but you own a business worth a million dollars, you're a millionaire. If you have half a million dollars and own a house worth another half million, you're a millionaire. If you have no money but give your wife a diamond worth a million dollars - okay, well you're not a millionaire anymore, but she is!

Now, what's an internet millionaire?

That one's easy. An internet millionaire is just a millionaire who earns his income online. The internet is an information marketplace. People buy and sell thoughts and ideas, in digital form. Internet millionaires notice opportunities, make plans, and organize the tools and people necessary to make them successful.

This is most true for entrepreneurs to start an internet business that sells digital products. In short, becoming an internet millionaire usually means selling ideas. If you can think of something interesting or helpful to other people that they would like to know, you can sell it on the internet.

Most people these days are very busy. And most people also want to get ahead - find ways to improve their lives, lose weight, become happier, and make money themselves. If you can help people meet their goals, they will pay you for it and become loyal to you for future products.

The better your idea (and the more efficiently you market it) the more money you can make. If you have the drive and the independence to seriously consider starting your own business online, you probably already have a few good experiences and ideas that can help others.

Even if you don't have any "great" ideas yet... you are capable of coming up with some! Do your research. Look at some online businesses that are already successful, and observe what they do. Is there anything you notice that you could add value to or do better? If you look hard enough, you'll find something and before you know it you will hold your own internet marketing secret that can make you successful online.

While the thought of becoming a millionaire over the Internet might seem a little overwhelming, the truth is that anyone who really wants to accomplish this can achieve it. It takes hard work and persistence in the beginning, combined with continued learning and wise choices. If you want it badly enough, there is no reason why you can't make it happen!
